We will be holding 4 workshops this year. Please refer to the calendar link but here is a list of them as well.
October 16 (evening) and 17 - Quilt as you go (or UFO day)
November 27 (evening) and 28 - Cathedral Windows - Learn to do the cathedral windows technique either by hand or machine. You will have the choice of making a tote bag, throw pillow or Christmas decorations. This is also a focus on UFO's or WIP's. Bring your unfinished objects or projects you are having trouble with and get some help with them. Perhaps there is some half done Christmas projects or gifts that you want to finish?
January 29 (evening) and 30 - Fabric bags (or UFO day)
March 5 (evening) and 6 - Battenburg Lace (or UFO day)
If there are any workshops you would like to see as extra workshops or as an add-on to the above workshops, please let the President of the guild know.
Every Wednesday for 9:30-4 starting Sept. 16, 2009 quilters can meet at Westminster United Church in Humboldt for a day of uninterrupted quilting, laughter and sharing. This is a wonderful time to get to know other quilters and work on projects without the interruption of phones and doorbells. Please consider coming out to join us. The facility has no stairs so accessibility is easy. If you need help hauling your sewing machine and other necessary items please call the President. The only cost is $2.00 to cover the costs of power & energy. Following is a list of supplies you may find handy to bring. You do not need to bring an iron or board or cutting mat.
